This is a Columbia jacket I got from a used clothing store in Australia a few years back. It’s almost in mint condition and for AUSD50, I can’t complain really. The weather that time was getting pretty cold and I thought having a jacket would be great.
I am not sure what model it is. It is a pull-over jacket and comes with tonnes of pockets on the front. I don’t think its waterproof but it certainly helped me to stay warm then. Just a couple of wears cause my visit was cut short. It has been in the cupboard ever since.
It seems that this is a work jacket. Most of the hard wearing areas (shoulders, elbows etc) is protected by a hard thick black cordura type material. The jacket seems bombproof but I know I will never need it in Malaysia.
I have sold this jacket to someone from Gunung Online. Very cheap to be honest. I needed to get rid of stuff. There will be more coming, so stay tuned!

Ini baju bundle outdoor Mountain Hardware untuk dijual. I dah lama bli baju ni tapi tersimpan sekian lama. material cotton and size kemunngkinan besar M. Color baju agak pudar tapi design semua cantik lagi. Baju dah season
Barang bundle I sekarang sikit-sikit I nak kena tolak. Dah banyak sangat. Kalau tak tolak, tak boleh beli yang baru! Bermula dengan beg Karrimor Trail45, ini item kedua untuk dijual.
I have decided that it is time to clear off some of my collection items. Starting with my Karrimor Trail45, this is my Mounatin Hardware t-shirt. I acually bought this shirt for my other half some years back but I guess she has gotten bored with it. Anyway, its cotton, and probably a size M. The color has faded a bit but it has actually made the shirt look more rustic I reckon.

I actually bough a couple of these off a clearance sale in Singapore many years back
Many many years ago, I remember landing myself a couple of Karrimor Trail45 backpack during a ‘baju bundle’ hunt in Singapore. The packs are not actually used but they are certainly old stock. The shop owner was having a sale and was clearing out some of his stock. I was crazy about backpacks then (still am but not THAT crazy), so I decided to buy a few. Yes, a few! These are not actually ‘bag bundle’ but having kept them sol long, I guess they can pass as bundle items

Carhartt makes tough, long lasting clothing.
I was in Langkawi recently where I got this cheap Carhartt long sleeve shirt from a bundle shop. I can’t remember exactly where the shop is but I know its somewhere near PL Soon Huat warehouse. The shop is located directly opposite a small mosque.
I can say that I am terribly impressed with the condition of the shop. It was dusty, all the clothing look like its been hung on the shelves for ages. As I flip through the clothes, mosquitoes would fly off from the inner folds of the shirts. Sigh…what a sad sight.

My budweiser t-shirt
At one point during my crazy ‘Baju bundle’ years, t-shirts with beer brands like Budweiser and Guinness were prized items. They were considered like the ultimate pieces to have in the circles of bundle lovers. Though the shirts advertise beers (which is forbidden in Islam), me and my Malay mates hunt them shirts down like there’s no tomorrow.
This is a Budweiser shirt which I am still keeping. I have to say that I no longer wear anything cotton these days. Especially them heavy cotton. The Malaysia weather is just too hot for me to wear them comfortably. Anyway, this shirt is among my favorites because of its design. Budweser t-shirts back then always come in very unique designs. At a glance, they sometimes don’t look like a beer themed t-shirt at all.

Part of the items in the pile of ‘baju bundle‘ collection I had stashed back in my hometown is this Planet Hollywood jacket.

Denims have long been a popular item in the ‘baju bundle‘ scene here in Malaysia. Jeans especially goes without saying. Brands like Levi’s, Lee and Wrangler has long been the mainstream names of denims. Occasionally, one will find jackets such as these. There are not particularly rare, especially in the US but in Malaysia, finding one such piece from a bale of used clothing will certainly put a smile on owner’s face.

At one point of time, I was crazy about South Park cartoons. I find the cartoon interestingly humorous , rude and to a certain extend some characters like me! Being a clothing ‘collector’ at the time, I grab just about anything that has South Park on it. T-shirts are no exception. I remember I had pieces of South Park t-shirts but during my recent ’scavenge’ hunt through my pile of stuff, I only manage to find one.
Cotton, my size and rather old, the South Park cartoon shirt that I manage to dig out is this one.

The picture on the front of the shirt features…of course, the 4 main characters of the South Park cartoon series. Eric Cartman, Kenny McCormick, Kyle Broflovski and Stan Marsh standing in line in front of some snow peak hills and what looks like christmass trees.
Of course I bought this t-shirt at a used clothing store. I remember that time I would really make the time and effort going around the shops just to find more items with Eric and the gang. Hmmm…speaking of which, I remember I had some miniature coin boxes of the characters. Gotta find them.
This shirt is part of my used clothing collection. I have more t-shirt collection which I will try to feature and write about soon.

My recent Chinese New Year holiday back in hometown was really a full blown used clothing affair. Not only was I dressed in used clothing throughout but I was also spending most of my ‘free’ time rummaging through some of the clothing left over from my old shop as well as my so called ‘baju bundle’ collection.
My wife was with me, so we decided to explore some of the goodies packed away in the closet. Well, we only manage to get through the closet. There’s still the store to go through. Anyway, the closet is probably enough. The rest of the items will have to wait another day.

I have no clue what made me decide to buy this Jack Wolfskin sleeveless vest. I am never much of a vest person. They seem to be popular among fishing enthusiasts and hunters though…anyway, me being me…I just gotta have one piece each of every item.

Here I have a used (not abused) American made Mountainsmith Tour Pack waist pouch. I got it used (second hand) from an ebay guy a number of years ago. I paid very little for it using the ‘Buy It Now’ feature. But with shipping, I remembered I paid like RM100 for it. Yup…a little too expensive compare to the normal prices I could have paid through the local ‘baju bundle’ shops but finding one like this is really not easy. What’s more, during one of the trips to Chatuchak market in Bangkok, Thailand, I saw a similar item (different color) going for around RM220. So, I think I still got a good price for it.
Before we go any further, most important thing I need to mention is that this Mountainsmith Tour Pack waist pouch is an old model and probably made in Boulder, Colorado, USA. A similar model (not sure what model) can be found in some of the sporting shops in Singapore already. The newer models now are mostly made in either Taiwan or Korea (I think). Having their products made overseas does not necessarily mean that the quality has declined but perhaps having an item that is made in the country of it’s origin has an ‘authentic’ feel to it.
