Deuter is so popular in Malaysia

The outdoor gear brand Deuter is funnily very popular in Malaysia. I am a bit of an outdoor gear collector and I find it amusing why many Malaysians love Deuter so much.
Anyway, I too have my share of Deuter items but I have to say that I am not too big of fan with the brand.

I got this pouch used in Singapore. There was a car boot sale near where we were staying over the weekend and we thought we would check it out.
There were a lot of good things there. We bought some clothing, some bags and shoes as well. This Deuter waist bag I paid only SGD10, which is about RM24.

For RM24, this bum bag is a bargain!

Okay, I don’t need a waist pouch. The Mountainsmith that I have barely experiences daylight but I thought perhaps I can flog it off someday. In the mean time, I can use it for a couple of times.

With the amount of fake or replicas in the market these days, one can’t be totally sure if it is genuine. Again for the money I paid and some of this pack’s characteristics tells me it is genuine.

Well, I hope to use this Deuter X Hip Pack one day. My only qualms with waist packs is that they are sometimes difficult to organize. I like good sized ones coz then they can take loads of stuff. But most designs have a monster mouth that gulps everything down without much ‘organizing’ capability.
Still, for RM24, it is a steal I reckon!
